About the Book

Marriage in our culture is treated like a contract — easily entered, easily broken. But Scripture tells a different story. From the very first chapters of Genesis, God designed marriage as a covenant: a sacred, permanent bond made in his presence, with him as its originator and chief witness.

Dr. Glover Shipp spent decades counseling engaged couples, performing weddings, and studying what the Bible actually says about marriage. Covenant Marriage: God’s Blueprint for Couples grew out of that ministry — first published to wide demand, then expanded and revised to meet continued need in churches, universities, and homes. It is warm, honest, and thoroughly grounded in Scripture, written by a man married more than five decades who has seen both the cost of broken covenants and the beauty of faithful ones.

This is part of the Forthright Bible Study Guides series, structured for flexible use in classroom settings, small groups, or individual study.
