First tweet is sweet, should be remembered

twitter-logoIt occurred on 2 April 2008. My very first tweet.

(A tweet is a post or message published on Twitter, with a limit of 140 characters.)

The first tweet for Forthright Press came later, on 12 December.

FPress’s tweets, by the way, include links to posts from our online offerings, such as this site, Forthright Magazine, BrotherhoodNews.com, The Fellowship Room, and one or two others. Worth one’s while to follow.

This interest in first tweets comes from some media attention for Fox News host Greg Gutfeld’s first.

Can tweets be called literature? Will somebody publish a book of tweets? (Probably won’t be Forthright Press.) Is Twitter good for more than navel-gazing?

You can find your first tweet through Twitter’s own discover service. We’d loved to hear what yours was.
