PINSON, Ala. (BNc) — On a Friday evening, an audience gathered at the Pinson High School Fine Arts Center to hear reason and evidences regarding the fundamental point of contention among the ‘religious’ world today: “The Bible is the exclusive standard of authority for Christian faith and practice.”

Robert Sungenis, well known author and president of Catholic Apologetics International, an organization dedicated to teaching and defending Roman Catholicism, was set to defend his belief in additional authoritative sources.

David Hester, evangelist with the Springville Road church, affirmed the Bible as the exclusive will of God to man.

Brooks is Minister of Missions and Evangelism with the Highland Park Church of Christ in Muscle Shoals, Ala. He began preaching the gospel in 1967. Since 1988 Mike has been involved in foreign missions in South America, Africa, and South Asia. Beginning in 1999 he devoted himself full time to missions.

A graduate of David Lipscomb University (BA) and Harding University Graduate School of Religion (MAR), he and his wife Brenda (Campbell) have been married for 40 years, with three children and five grandchildren. We must remember that our disabilities do not change the nature of God. He is still good and loves us more than we realize. However, disease and disabilities exist in our world.

Why following the NT pattern matters | TFR

If following the New Testament pattern were a matter of option, there would need be no discussion whatsoever about following this model. But here is why it matters:

Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you? If someone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him. For God’s temple is holy, which is what you are (1 Cor. 3:16-17).
